Guidelines We Follow When Purchasing Used Merchandise for Resale

When sourcing used merchandise for resale, we follow strict guidelines set by the owner to ensure every item meets our quality and resale standards. Here’s what we look for before making any offer:

• Condition – We assess whether the item is new, gently used, or worn. Only items in good, sellable condition are considered.
• Damages – We inspect closely for stains, rips, defects, or excessive wear. Damaged items are usually excluded or heavily discounted if accepted.

• Personalization – Items with names, patches, embroidery, or other custom work often have reduced resale value, so we avoid them unless there’s clear demand.

• New with Tags – Items that still have original tags are a big plus—they tend to resell quickly and at a higher price.

• Brand – We prioritize well-known, popular brands that hold value and are in demand with our customer base.

• Market Demand – We research current trends and check completed sales on platforms to understand what people are actively buying.

• Size – Larger sizes typically have higher resale value and greater demand, so we aim to source those when available.

• Seller’s Price – We negotiate fair prices based on item condition, brand, and demand. We won’t overpay for items that won’t move.

Important Notes:
We always exclude soiled, damaged, or unsellable items from purchase. If any issues are found after the fact, we’ll adjust pricing or remove those items from the lot.

Before finalizing any deal, we take clear photos and contact the owner for approval. These steps ensure we’re bringing in quality merchandise and protecting both the business and our customers.

And lastly, we would need a state issued ID and make a copy to sign an agreement contract that all goods and gear are from their perspective owner. This ensures that the sale was agreed-upon by the owner and the seller.
